Do you drink enough water today?

Hydrate your Body fuel your mind

Hi Everyone,

Long time no see.  I know… I know… πŸ˜„
Many of you have heard me remind you to drink enough water during our sessions — whether in person or virtual.

So let me remind you one more time and explain why hydration is so important.

And yes… we are talking about H2O (water) — not just any liquid. β˜•πŸ₯€πŸ· does not always count the same way.

As summer approaches, many people become dehydrated without even realizing it. Hydration is important not only for physical health, but also for psychological and emotional well-being.

Here are a few reasons why staying hydrated matters:

πŸ’§ Helps improve focus and concentration
πŸ’§ Supports emotional regulation and stress management
πŸ’§ Reduces fatigue, headaches, and brain fog
πŸ’§ Helps regulate body temperature during hot weather
πŸ’§ Supports digestion, circulation, and energy levels
πŸ’§ Helps your nervous system function more effectively
πŸ’§ May reduce irritability, dizziness, and mental exhaustion

So… how much water should we drink?

There is no perfect number for everyone because body size, activity level, weather, caffeine intake, medications, and health conditions all matter. However, many adults may benefit from aiming around:

➑️ Approximately 2–3 liters of water per day
(roughly 8–12 cups)

If you sweat more, exercise, work outdoors, drink alcohol/caffeine frequently, or spend long hours in heat, you may need more.

Another important point is how you drink water.

βœ… Small amounts throughout the day usually work better than drinking a huge amount all at once
βœ… Sip consistently instead of waiting until you feel extremely thirsty
βœ… Drinking too much water too quickly may dilute electrolytes and may not absorb as effectively
βœ… Try not to overeat or drink excessively right before bed if it affects your sleep quality

A simple guideline many people find helpful:

πŸ’‘ Drink gradually throughout the day
πŸ’‘ Slow down eating and drinking about 2 hours before bedtime when possible
πŸ’‘ Listen to your body, activity level, and weather condition

Sometimes people think they are simply “burnt out” or emotionally overwhelmed, when part of the issue may actually be poor sleep, chronic stress, and dehydration combined together.

If you have been feeling constantly exhausted, emotionally drained, mentally overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode, this may also be a good reminder to explore the deeper patterns behind burnout.

My upcoming Break the Burnout Pattern course will explore practical mind–body tools, emotional regulation strategies, boundaries, recovery habits, and holistic wellness approaches to help people rebuild sustainable balance and resilience.
